Meet Rachel Chung, one of Kaedim’s founding engineers.
Born and raised in Singapore, Rachel is a Machine Learning Engineer focused on our internal Artist Tools and AI reconstructions. She works closely with our 3D artists to develop tools that provide solid starting points for their workflows—identifying pain points and building what they need most.
Rachel’s first job was as a barista at an indie coffee shop in Singapore. As a barista, she’s tried a handful of espressos to truly understand what “good” espresso is supposed to taste like, though her favorite drink is still hot chocolate 🫕
Her favorite game is Minecraft, and she’s a big fan of the Genshin Impact art style. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys 3D printing personalized gifts—like a custom piano music box that she modeled, printed, and engineered to play specific songs. She also builds her own mobile apps, including a personal expense tracker, and plays drums as part of her church band.
Communication is everything when working on a global, distributed team. While everyone at Kaedim has strong autonomy in how they work, staying aligned through clear and consistent communication is key to moving in the right direction together
The team is incredible. Our GitHub might look intimidating, but behind it is a group of people who are deeply committed to their work—and that dedication really motivates and inspires you.
