Meet Nerissa Hsieh, Kaedim’s UI/UX Designer.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Nerissa plays a key role in shaping the Kaedim product experience. Her day-to-day includes managing the product roadmap, creating prototypes for new features, and working closely with engineers to bring those ideas to life. She also leads user research to better understand both customer needs and the workflows of our artist team.
Nerissa’s first job was working the cash register at a Japanese sweet shop called J Sweets. She’s fluent in Japanese and even spent four months abroad in Japan!
Her favorite game is Balatro, and she’s a fan of modern impressionist art styles, especially those seen in the Spiderverse films. Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring creativity through pottery.
I’ve learned how important it is to zoom out and see the whole picture. It’s not just about designing one feature—it’s about understanding how it connects to the entire system, the user journey, and even the technical side. That kind of big-picture thinking has shaped how I approach everything now.
Every single thing you work on here makes a difference. It’s not just busywork—we work with some incredibly unique and creative customers, and it’s exciting knowing your work directly impacts what they’re building.
