!مرحبا Meet Majd, one of Kaedim’s founding Machine Learning Engineers.
Born and raised in Lebanon, Majd plays a key role at the intersection of AI research and artist support. Day to day, he works closely with the 3D artist team to build the tools they need, while also staying on the cutting edge of 3D and AI research. Whether he’s digging into new academic papers or running internal experiments, his work helps keep Kaedim’s tech forward-thinking and grounded in real-world use.
Majd’s first job was as a research assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the American University of Beirut. His work focused on the intersection of AI and drone technology, contributing to two standout projects. The first aimed to predict drone movement in a VR environment by autocompleting user actions. The second involved developing an autonomous tree-planting drone capable of identifying ideal planting spots, landing, drilling, and planting saplings without human intervention. Majd led the AI component, which included collecting visual data using drone-mounted cameras, determining optimal planting locations, and navigating the logistics of flying the drone legally.
His favorite game of all time is Dragon Age: Origins, and he’s a fan of bold, stylized visuals like those in the Borderlands series. Outside of research, you’ll often find him on the basketball court or gaming in his free time.
As someone who’s always been into games, it’s been eye-opening to learn about how the industry actually works—the workflows, the pipelines, the different art styles. It’s one thing to play games, but it’s another to understand how they’re made.
Our GitHub page isn’t meant to intimidate people—but it does reflect the pace and intensity of what we do. We work hard here, and sometimes that gets taken for granted. But it’s all driven by passion. We care deeply about what we’re building.
