Meet Ben, our AI Research Lead at Kaedim!

Bio 🇹🇼

Raised in Cupertino, Ben recently joined the team as our AI research Lead, where he focuses on Kaedim’s long-term AI research strategy, data pipelines, and ensuring our work translates into useful, real-world tools while keeping us ahead of ongoing research.

First job

Ben’s first academic role was as a course assistant for a graduate-level data visualization and graphics course, where he helped with lectures, office hours, and curriculum design. His first industry role (after academia) was as a technical program manager intern at a zero-equity accelerator for Web3 and AI startups!

Favorite Games, Art Style, and Hobbies

Ben’s favorite games include Deadlock for its occult noir aesthetic, Dota 2 (dark fantasy), and a range of indie games like Sorry We’re Closed, Mouthwashing, Picayune Dreams, Crow Country, Hyper Light Drifter, and Transistor. He’s especially drawn to stylized low-poly visuals and surreal horror.

Ben’s favorite hobby is in fashion - with a love for high-end goth, Vivienne Westwood-inspired, and alternative styles. Ben is also currently working toward a fashion design certificate in NYC and also have a poetry project in progress!

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned while working at Kaedim?

I’ve learned how complex and iterative 3D artist workflows are. Even early on, it’s been helpful to see where AI outputs are useful and where careful human refinement really matters for production-ready assets.

What’s something you wish people knew more about Kaedim?

People are very helpful and committed to the work. Even as a new hire, it’s been easy to get support and context when needed.
